Improving energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources
The project introduced measures to improve the energy efficiency of the production facility and increase the use of renewable energy sources, with projected energy savings of 47,88%.

A more energy-efficient production facility
PROMID d.o.o. successfully completed the project “Improving energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources at PROMID d.o.o.”
The total project value was 158.449,15 € (1.193.835,10 kn) , of which 108.398,14 € (816.725,81 kn) was co-financed by the European Union.
The project was implemented from 18 June 2018 to 31 December 2020.
Key project activities
The project included technical, energy-related and organisational activities aimed at improving the efficiency of the production facility.
Energy efficiency measures
Three key measures to reduce energy consumption and increase the use of renewable energy.
The project involved the construction of a solar power plant, replacement of the existing lighting with energy-efficient LED lighting, and installation of a reactive power compensation system.
These measures help improve the production facility’s energy efficiency, reduce energy consumption and increase the use of renewable energy sources.
Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014–2020
The project was implemented under Priority Axis 4, “Promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy sources”, Investment Priority 4b and the specific objective of increasing energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources in manufacturing industries.
The project contributes to the objectives of the Energy Efficiency Directive (2012/27/EU), national energy efficiency strategies and efforts to encourage investment in renewable energy sources.
